In one of the most suggestive, exclusive and artistic area of Venice, few steps from the baroque church of Santa Maria della Salute, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the Center of Contemporary Art “Punta della Dogana”, is located The San Gregorio Art Gallery, on the Calle San Gregorio 164, 165, from which it takes the name. The Gallery opened in 1996 and immediately distinguished itself for the promotion of high quality artists in the field of "informal" contemporary art. At first, the exhibitions showed the passion for the 'abstract' expression with artists such as Santomaso, Vedova, the "Venetian Spacial Movement" with Gaspari, Gasparini, Finzi, Bacci e Morandis. With the Fine Art Collection, the Gallery developed an Art For Interiors & Projects . In this sector, the artists exhibit a figuration embracing the taste of the 'general public'.
